The phenomenon could be seen from Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, North Dakota, South Dakota, Vermont, Washington, and Wisconsin. Residents are advised to find a dark location away from urban areas to view the aurora. The NOAA Space Weather Prediction Center issued the warning.
